CPU UPGRADE FOR GIGABYTE GA-K8N PRO-SLI

The S939 CPUs are already on their way back up...I don't think there is any more down for them. AMD has already discontinued over half the product line. If you are looking for a CPU upgrade, now would be the time. If you are going to keep that system for a long time, buy the 2.4Ghz 4800+ from...

HURRY! Dell 3007WFP for 1600$CAD until Jan 20th

More monitors are (I'm told) far more helpful in programming, due to the multiple windows and concurrent processes. The development system I built for my dad has 4 19" LCDs connected to it for this reason.

HURRY! Dell 3007WFP for 1600$CAD until Jan 20th

The following is math that I'm sure Merc is aware of, and I don't mean to sound patronizing in spelling it out. 4096000 pixels (30") vs. 2304000 pixels (24") vs. 3840000 pixels (current 22" 4:3 * 2 monitors) So a 30" has 178% the space of a 24" and 106% the space of my pair. The questions...

HURRY! Dell 3007WFP for 1600$CAD until Jan 20th

If all I'm going to do is stretch the image, I'm just going to get a bigger monitor ;) Those two games are smart enough to directly support multiple monitors; enhancing the gaming experience when you do.

CPU UPGRADE FOR GIGABYTE GA-K8N PRO-SLI

As Buck said, that board will support any 939 CPU. The fastest of which is an Opteron 2.6Ghz Dual Core chip for $330. But I would suggest that a Dual Core 2.0Ghz 3800+ for $115 would be the cost-effective upgrade.

HURRY! Dell 3007WFP for 1600$CAD until Jan 20th

AFAIK, there are only 2 games that support multiple monitors; the MS Flight Simulator series and Supreme Commander. So if you are looking at a better gaming experience, you need one large monitor. And it would probably be flanked by my current pair of VP2130b 22" LCDs ;)

AMD Cuts Prices. Cuts them like the wind

Possibly, but I doubt the people making the cuts are considering OC-ability. There simply aren't enough OC-ers to change the market.

HURRY! Dell 3007WFP for 1600$CAD until Jan 20th

If you are using it for non-computer uses, the additional resolution is completely wasted. There are many lower-resolution displays for less (even larger ones), but what I'm after is the resolution for games and photo editing.

    Wireless Router & cards

If you have DSL and the device supplied by the telco includes a switch, it is a multi-purpose device; including a DSL modem, NAT-capable router, and switch (at least). Just connecting your SMC (ethernet) router to the phone line would not work, as it doesn't have a DLS modem in it (DSU).

Tuning 2003 server for workstation use

Entering IP addresses on printers always sucks. Typically I print the config page which gives the DHCP address, then I connect to that using a browser and change it there. The MFC devices are easier because they have a number pad.

But my argument is not about what the religion is. Even in there were a god (or many; I'm an agnostic), I still think that organized religion is a mistake. Even if heaven and hell exist (pretty confident this is a no), living well and not being evil should be enough. The crap that people do...

My primary complaint about the bible has nothing to do with what it says; even if I completely agreed with what was written (which I certainly don't), I would still hate the book.
