Maxburn said it all, Lunar. I don't think anybody makes PS2 mice anymore; at best they're USB with a working PS2 adapter. Most of Microsoft's mice come with the PS2 adapter, so you should be okay there. I'm using a MS USB mouse + PS2 adapter successfully in a KVM switch.

I don't think it's your KVM. Apparently some USB mice are strictly USB only. Examples are some models of Kensington and Logitech mice. I recently bought a Logitech that had a USB connector only, and no USB to PS2 adapter in the retail package. Wouldn't work on a PS2 port using a known good USB...

I've tried long and hard and failed. Then in my web travels I found the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool. Works like a charm on many brands, even the known-to-be-fussy ones like Lexar Jumpdrives.

Any caveats? Does one spec work better than others -- A vs B vs G? It's hard to come by these structures in quake ridden CA, where we live in cardboard shacks :D . Those of you living in real houses on the Right Coast, please chime in!
