SSDs - State of the Product?

SSDs - State of the Product?

First.............Doh! As far as the toolbox goes I think they never pulled that, was never a problem with it. I am thinking for someone like me who has had the OS on there for a month or two it might be beneficial to run the full cleanup via toolbox, I don't think the OS will do that for you...

SSDs - State of the Product?

It should enable TRIM support. That plus win7 or the intel toolbox gets you the disk cleanup stuff to keep the performance up to a like new SSD all the time.

SSDs - State of the Product?

It's bootable so as to help out the unwashed masses. If you don't like that there are only a couple hundred utilities to extract, mount, manipulate and titillate ISO's. I'm in Dallas well away from home to update mine.

    Need a Printer

I couldn't see a difference when I moved to postscript on the CLJ5, neither did bumping the memory up to 52mb. The thing is just freaking old and slow, I think it is like postscript level minus 1 or something. On the 1320c I don't see that it supports postscript OR PCL, just says "host based...

    Need a Printer

I have never used the 11x17 capability on it, also I don't think it can do 11x17 in color. Least I know it wouldn't in PCL, never tried after the PS (vista compatibility) conversion. Only thing I hate about it is it can take several whole minutes per page to print a PDF. Basic ones like a...

    Need a Printer

That isn't bad at all. I am thinking I could use a photo inkjet eventually. I actually just picked up a Dell color laser 1320c for free. It has no toner in it at all, four colors. Dell wants $312, monoprice wants about $80 and ebay has some for $50 and up. I am trying to load drivers so I...

I just lump it in with all forms of content protection that is stealing freedom and limiting ways you can use stuff. At least steam gives back in the form of lower cost plus support and easy patch delivery. I screwed up recently too, bought COD Modern Warfare 2 for full price at BBY. Just for...

Cool, I went with a G11 myself after rummaging around the reviews and apparently the G11 and S90 have a lot in common internally. Haven't had time to do much with it yet. Actually I need a halfway decent small light tent, anyone have suggestions on that? Need both tent and lighting.

It was more of a joke, I wouldn't make the trip for that either. On a side note the drivers for those old HP tanks are built into windows but you need the PS option card as they dropped other support starting with Vista. Drivers are very light weight, have nothing to do with HP and just do...

Oh ok for that night only you will be pretty demanding on that printer so in my opinion a laser would make sense. Most list stats for time to first page but where you turn off power savings or are printing that much that particular stat won't matter. I think they also list stats for time to...

SSDs - State of the Product?

I think the major speed advantages are being seen now in the controller chip and how it addresses the memory it is given. Really? Interesting. I too always assuming that you needed to ground the motherboard and that's why they have a solder pad around the screw hole.
