What Do you Think of this Slot A Problem?

I was able to successfully unsolder an AT style keyboard port from an FIC VA-503+ motherboard and solder in a PS2 type. Even though the pin hole alignments were the same, it was a pain in the ass. Tannin isn't joking.

Windows Update fubar'ed for illegal owners

I'm not positive Gary, but that "Devil's Own" warez version of XP may be a corporate version. In that case, the user of same would have the advantage of no activation procedure. I think that issue might be why it is so popular, besides the fact it can be downloaded for free.

    Opera v6.05

I have used all the Nutscrape versions up through the 4.7X's and also Mozilla v1.0. I feel that Opera blows both of them away in terms of speed, small footprint, and preference choices. It is unbeatable for a person that is stuck with narrowband. Its page rendering speed with images turned off...

What Do you Think of this Slot A Problem?

Did the motherboard battery die? Some motherboards, by default, don't initialize an AGP video card. If that battery died, the bios would go into default every time the PC was powered up regardless of where it was set on the previous use. This doesn't sound like the problem though. Did the...
