It depends on what you want to download. High profile, current items are best downloaded as a torrent for pure speed. Older and rarer files are best found on Emule. For both types, I'd recommend a good modded client over the vanilla versions.

The Benq DW1640 has received quite a few good reviews. They're not expensive either. I used one in my SFF box. On the other hand, I was hellbent on keeping IDE ribbon cable quantity minimized in my gaming machine and went with the Plextor PX-716SA SATA unit in that machine. No complaints other...
