Have you tried KeyTronic? Their product list here might be helpful. I've always found KeyTronic keyboards to be the right combination between decent quality and decent price. But even more than monitors, keyboard affinity is subjective.

After the spacebar and the shift keys, I find that the Enter key is the "non-character" key I use the most. There is some room for play over in the top right corner of the main portion of the keyboard. For me personally, I'd rather see that space go to a key I use a lot ... namely the Enter...
