Just started an outlook.com email address. I'm curious how bad the spam situation is. My hotmail address is about useless because of spam, so bad I had to set it to exclusive to keep out 30+ a day.

    SuperMicro Blade Servers

Walking around some tremendous datacenters I rarely see the brand supermicro. Zero personal experience but I am thinking there are other reasons why they go with what they do. They liked the management interface on this, have a standing supplier contract with that etc. That support angle is...

Yes but that is the new trend of video game DRM. They can't figure out how to secure the software so they make you check in with a third-party.

    IM Server for an office

Exactly why in my opinion a chat client has to handle every IM protocol out there. Exactly, we were using AIM before IT dictatorship determined that we must use OCS. It's not even the latest version of linc communicator, it's the old office communicator.

    IM Server for an office

God I hate office communicator. IT locked it down so I can't block anyone, we can't send URLs to people and certainly can't send files god forbid. Being a work from home person my boss of course wants us to run it all the time and every single message people spam across the whole group forces a...

Time, your thoughts sum up my experience pretty well. Today with a couple hours of podcast listening and some minimal use on the desk it is down to 65% battery at only 1245. I found this, it worked pretty well but any error messages tended to be so detailed that they were useless. SoHo Gigabit Router?

All my it gear is on UPS. They seem quite tolerant of any voltage or frequency slew, if you read the power bricks they come wih they have a very wide input range, most only needing a different plus to switch to euro 220v/50hz. Heck, some of it even runs for a second after unplugging it.

Comcast stopped the bandwidth penalty recently and is trying a new 300gb cap out, but not enforcing it yet. If you are under that or even the old 250gb cap I'd call to get it fixed. I'm thinking about upgrading my cable modem, it's an older docsys 2 model and the speed grade I have is right...

PC Gaming = World of Suck

I'll be damned, the four of us never found that and we were seemingly always telling someone to change their mic gain.
