I'd be happier if someone were to figure out how to get Remote Desktop Server working in Windows 7 Home Premium instead.

Supposedly if you have a home server there you can RDP into clients through the WHS. Not sure if that is a feature of the connector software that you could use independently of having a WHS or what but the connector software is available as a download. I haven't tried playing with this feature yet but if you have WHS you have RDP to every connected computer.

No personal knowledge or experience, but I am told that the MSFT Live Mesh beta provides some remote desktop functionality on 7 Home (along with XP?).

It'll happen. Personally RDP is something that makes "Professional" versions of Windows worth the extra money, and any number of server admins no doubt agree with me.

RDC works fine in ultimate, though I've not tried in the version below.
