So one of our machines has turned into a sloth. No doubt by the customer who thoughtfully installed NAV Corp 8.0. Now one would think a simple Add/Remove programs click would rid us of this curse on humanity. However, it demands a password. Which we don't have. Any backdoors for nirvana?

Thanks muchly,

Pradeep

One thing I've found which makes a huge speed difference on AV packages is whether or not archive files are being scanned. For ZIPs the impact isn't noticeable, but if you run any Java, the Jar files will be scanned whever the Java app runs and that's a huge hit on performance.

Thanks. Registry deletions were a success. Found a bunch of spyware as well. That's the last time we loan out machines. I could have left NAV 8.0 installed, but all the options were locked, I needed to turn off the background scanning crap.
