Hey Gang,
I'm interested in playing with Linux some more, but for a few reasons would prefer to do it from within Windows via VM. Does anybody know a good, recent guide to help get me going? Most of what I can find is from 2007.
Thanks,

I found Ubuntu in VMWare to be super simple:

Download ISO
Install VMWare weapon of choice
Create new VM, and when it asks what OS, tell it Ubuntu
Point the VM to the ISO

Wow, that was easy. I downloaded VM's VMWare Player (free), told it where my .iso was, and it installed it (it is apparently pre-configured for certain OS's). Playing with Linux has never been so easy.

Native OS, a virtual Linux, and my VPN/remote desktop....where will it all end? I suddenly think my 8 GB of RAM isn't so extravagant now.
