Ipod Management Software that isn't iTunes?

Is there any good ipod management software that isn't iTunes and works on windows xp pro x64?
iTunes doesn't seem to like xp x64. It installed fine but keeps popping up a message that says it wasn't installed correctly and to re-install. It works - mostly. It keeps asking me to register the ipod even though I did it 3 times already.

I bought an Ipod Nano for my wife's birthday.

I was told that all the neat software I used to use doesn't work on the newer ones, hopefully they will/have sorted that out. I don't own an iPod at the moment, so I can't say.
