I have multiple machines and have applied a killa-Watt to them to see what's being used.

Q6600 Idle = 135W
Q6600 Windows SMP = 203W & 2100 PPD
Q6600 GPU (x1900AIW) = 233W & 500 PPD
Q6600 Windows SMP (idle priority) + GPU (low priority)= 275W & 2400 PPD

X2 4600+ Idle = 105W
X2 4600+ Windows SMP = 156W & 925 PPD (on a good WU)
X2 4600+ Windows SMP = 156W & 400 PPD (on a bad WU)
X2 4600+ Linux SMP = 180W & 1025 PPD (on a good WU)
X2 4600+ Linux SMP = 180W & 500 PPD (on a bad WU)

P4 3200 Idle = 96W
P4 3200 one Windows Standard client = 158W & 250 PPD
P4 3200 Two Hyper-threaded Windows Standard Clients = 162W & 300 PPD

Of course PPD's vary depending on the specific WU, but this will give people here a rough concept of the energy usage for different processors and their point production efficiency.

I've noticed a definate drop in my electric bill since installing an Earthwatts 80+ power supply. That and the room doesn't heat up.
That was running a Celeron D. Now I have a Core 2 Duo at 3.2GHz and the electric bill is still low.
