    Power outage

It is rare that we have a power outage these days in my neighborhood. In years past, it was more prevalent, especially in the winter. Nonetheless, I have always enjoyed the peace that comes with a power outage. If it is in the evening, just light a few candles and away you go. Our water is...

    Lite-On 32X burner problem.

Good point Steve, I had a customer with that problem recently. They purchased a spindle of 99 CDs, and the first 10 became coasters. She returned the lot, received a new spindle, and burning resumed as normal.

    Compaq Armada M700 Notebook

Sorry Clocker, but I'm not familiar with this model. Nonetheless, you are a pretty technical guy, and I can't see why you shouldn't easily figure out how to open the thing up and replace the drive or add more memory if you need to. As for the wireless NIC, I would imagine that if you are in a...

    Mobile Phones

The V60 works well for me since my reception at home is poor and many times must revert to analog. Additionally, it was the ergonomics of the phone that sold me on it. The phone is compact enough when closed, and large enough to accommodate my fat face when open. Plus the phone is relatively...

Ever wanted to know the thoughts of car fans?

Dealers don't necessarily buy oil in quart containers. Usually it is a 55-gallon drum that uses an air pressure system to dispense the oil. But you are right, the don't make that much money on oil changes.

chipset drivers, when needed and when not

The IAA does wonders for the EIDE performance of iPaq systems using the i810 chipset. No, I wouldn't build or sell such a system either, but I have had to work on them and noticed a marked difference with the IAA installed.

120 GB HD on a BX board?

As long as the system is able to POST, and you can install an OS on the drive, you should be fine (you may be stuck with more then one partition). If your OS has limitations in translating the drive (due to the BIOS), you can always give the Intel Application Accelerator a try after the OS is...
