I would include a third drive. Something similar to this arrangement: SATA C: WinXP & Applications SATA D: Image Files & Editor Image Work Files PATA E: Swap File PATA F: Optical Drive If necessary, the E: and F: drives can be combined on the same channel, as the intense swap file activity...

Although this is all being said in fun, it would be nice to have one standard for all devices plugged into the motherboard. Just think of how simple that would be! Granted, there may be some loose ends that cannot be converted to a single standard such as audio since it must be compatible with...

    Promise SX6000 Raid Issues

What happens when just the newer WD drives are used? Older WD drives had problems in RAID arrays. They run an internal diagnostic for lengthy periods of time, which causes them to fall out of RAID arrays controlled by a controller card. They still do this (which is good for regular desktop...

You can try Moz 1.7.1 and (can someone be ready with smelling salt for my simian friend?) an ATI video card. The same problem you’re experiencing I have experienced with older GeForce cards, and Matrox P650s, not with ATI. Of course that could be entirely coincidental and I still use Matrox in...

    Power Measure/Rating? Cost?

Those 4x32W fixtures are very nice. I use them in my garage/workshop. I'm planning on hooking one up to my garage door opener instead of using that woefully inefficient incandescent bulb they come with. However, this is not to save energy, but instead to provide adequate lighting when the...
