Which cam/lens for flowers? LM,Tan, ed, Handy?

Rent a lens first for the shoot and then consider buying one later. Buy new, rather than used if you don't know the buyer and lens history. The TSE lenses often take some abuse and some people partly disassemble the lens to switch TS axes. Doing this multiple times or clumsily can damage the...

It was fairly warm here in the southland - enough to use the AC a bit. Once it was in the 90s on Christmas IIRC, but not comparable to Christmases I've been in the Caribbean, in equatorial South America and Africa, or in the southern hemisphere such as northern Australia.

Is that your original created data or illegitimate data from something that you don't own the copyright to and have not incurred the expense and time to produce? I can't afford to lose data (i.e., for more than a few hours) so I don't risk the use of arrays. There are at least three copies of...

Too much, but never enough. :) Here is the local (internal and eSATA) storage in the primary computer. That does not include the backup/storage computer and of course piles of loose drives and 2.5" drives, etc. I don't even have a 36x48 back yet. It will only get worse.

Too many of the photos don't look so good to me, especially the weird lateral blurring. The repairs and patches are good enough I guess, but the basic design is obviulsy flawed. The question is whether Canon will shift to a new/revised model sooner than the typical 3-year cycle.

Mine is fine so far. It is cooler and quieter than my pair of 7K1000s, but warmer than my WD Greenpowder 1TB. I don't have a Seagate 1TB 7200.11 yet, but the F1 is the favorite of the three 1TB models in my computer.

I bought an SD800IS (as a gift) because it had a 28 mm equivalent lens at the wide end as well as an optical viewfinder. Recently P/S cameras have too many pixels and horrific NR at higher ISOs. Some of the old 5 megapixel P/S cameras were better overall than the replacements IMO.

Mostly Extreme III and now IV. The newer bodies like the 1Ds MK III can take advantage of UDMA, whereas the older bodies like the 1D MK III cannot. Still there is some benefit in downloading. I still have some old Ultra II cards but the download speeds are quite slow.
