Does anyone have any experience trying to do VLANs with a Broadcom NetExtreme 5702? Everything I've found says it supports them, but in the Broadcom Advanced Control Suite 2, the option to create a VLAN is greyed out. I've tried a few different driver revisions with no change.

I think you're overestimating the reach of the Off Camera Cord 2. IMHO If you only have one flash you should keep it on the camera.

I looked into all this before, and you're basically SOL for Jumbo frames. You can do the VLAN thing with a switch that supports VLANs, and using 802.1q each of your gigabit NICs will end up looking like two NICs to Windows. In theory that would let you use Jumbo Frames between the two gigabit...
