Mine uses a Marvel something or other for wired Ethernet. The 500GB spinning disc I put in it is not slow, so that's not the problem.

Anyone ever speed tested the wired network capability of their netbook? :???: Mine seems dismal. If I can believe the performance application, it's copying data over my network at 2.3Mbyte/sec average. Task manager shows 77-80% network utilization and CPU usage is about between 15-20%...

Well, I managed to do a pile of FTP searches and eventually find it. The software and amount of control is pretty impressive. It certainly blows away the nearly useless functionality the older Back-UPS 1100 had.

Most of them meet your requirements. I don't think you'll find the 1.6gHz Atom that much faster than a Pentium M 900MHz though. However, I find my netbook to be plenty quick. FWIW, I like my Samsung N120! :mrgrn:

Any chance someone has the installer for APC's PowerChute Business Edition Single Node Agent v8.0.1 for Windows saved by any chance? APC's website is garbage, and if you mange to actually to get through it you quickly find out that the URL to the download leads to a FTP site that doesn't...

What extra pixels? There are only 1920x1080 pixels on the LCD panel. There aren't bonus pixels. Say, have you measured the width and height of the screens yet?

And, surprise, surprise, the ones that are 16:10 are 22" or smaller (ie: computer monitors with a tuner). They are 1680x1050 (22") or 1440x900 (19").

I have no idea what you're talking about. Can you please show me a single LCD TV larger than the low mid 20" range that has a LCD panel that is 1920x1200? TVs have scalars in them. They often may accept 1920x1200, but they don't have 1920x1200 pixels on the screen. They simple squish it...

You've got that backwards. Most TVs are definitely 16:9.

Generally you can still get good quality stuff, you just have to be willing to pay for it.

I suspect they're somewhat standardizing on panels that are common to TVs since they're cheaper because of economies of scale.

It looks like my server uses about 130W at idle (which it mostly is) and my switch, cable modem, and two HD Homerun tuners together use about 40W per my P3 Kill A Watt. I had all 170W worth of load together on a single APC Back-UPS Pro 1100, but the battery life was rather dismal (~20 minutes)...

Of course... This is where it will go: You can see the joist that the rack will attach to at the top of the picture. I put these electrical outlets in last weekend. The GFI is required by code for basements, and a GFI outlet is a lot cheaper than a GFI breaker. They are on a new 20A...

Well, I got all the stuff from Monoprice.com today. I ordered three of the 12.25" x 19" x 12" / 7U wall mount brackets. I will screw them into two 4' long 3/4" x 10" pine boards (one on each side) which will be fastened to the joist above with some angle iron.

ImgBurn has been rock solid for me. I do all my DVD Video burning with it. I use Nero 6 for data burning.

It was on some of the earlier ones. Usually those discs have another audio track though.

Odd because I thought the manual says it will only output 2 channels for discs with LPCM audio.
