That sounds like a fab problem, not a nVidia problem. TSMC gives their customers the design rules for their process and customers use those rules to design their chips. Bad yields mean the rules weren't accurate or the process isn't stable.

Are you sure it died and not the wall wart? I have two of those Netgear units. One 8 port and one 5 port. The 8 port is in use and still works. I assume the 5 port still works though it's not being used. :bomb:

If I had to guess that's because Windows is defaulting to the NIC that runs through the 100Mb/sec switch in your router instead of the one that connects to your gigabit crossover cable. There are several ways around this (at least in XP). The easiest would be to get a 5 port gigabit switch and...

Typically people eat out a lot which costs a lot more than eating healthy home cooked food. I'm not sure that spending more will get you healthier food.

You don't want to do it in GIMP on the file you uploaded to Picasa. You want to process the raw .NEF file to recover some of the highlights first. You want to adjust the exposure by about -1EV and then use that file in GIMP. I've never used ViewNX, so I'm not sure exactly how you would go...

I gave it a real quick & dirty in about 30 seconds with Gimp which is all that's installed on my work PC. Sorry if that's not up to your standards. :wink:

Whoopteedoo... Apple has and will always find suckers to buy their products. The ipad is just another device to enable Apple and their big corporate content providing buddies to suck more money out of your wallet. Apple should change their slogan to "Fleecing the willing since 2001"

That's either lens serious flare or overexposure, or perhaps both. They're reasonably fixable. You need to crank the brightness way down and the contrast way up. I'd push the RAW file down about 1 to 1.5 stops and then do the rest with software brightness and contrast adjustments.
