No, you don't throw the baby out with the bath water, but you'd be foolish to keep the status quo and keep adding water to the bath until the baby drowns also.
I put a new suspension fork (Pro version, not the Expert version) on my bike yesterday. It would have been nice if the manual explained what all the adjustments on it do though.
There's an air chamber you can adjust the pressure on to compensate for rider weight. There's a knob on the bottom...
Remember that the solution to gov't failure is more gov't.
The gov't has been responsible for infrastructure and education from the beginning and has poured piles of money down those holes yet they're disasters. So somehow the natural solution of course is to pour even more money down...
You and a friend are standing at the edge of a cliff. Your friend wants you to jump of the cliff and tells you you'll be fine if you do. You think you'll die if you jump. How do you compromise with your friend? And, after you "compromise" who actually did sacrificed their position?
You guys are looking at it wrong. It's not Republican vs. Democrat. For the most part it's ruling class vs. the rest of us. Most of the people in Washington are all about the power, not what's best for the country. They make up the ruling class. They thing they know better than the rest of...
What sort of logic is this?
Using that logic, we shouldn't put anyone in jail because doing so could put an innocent person in jail and that would be a tragedy...
I probably wouldn't have bought a Sharp. When I was last TV shopping a few years ago I didn't like the way they looked from the distance I wanted to view it from.
I've had a fair number of unsolicited messages from HR people looking for people to fill jobs opportunities via LinkedIn. In fact I changed my profile to cut down on them.
FWIW, I've gotten two jobs through Monster.com.
Well, it says it's for a SAS controller (host) to 4 SATA drives (target). You need a host to target cable, so it should work. However, the seller might not know what they're selling or you got shipped the wrong thing.
Blank flash is all 1's that's true. Writing 1's the entire drive will not return it to factory status. You have to secure erase the thing / trigger the drives internal restoration mechanism.
I finally let my HTPC update itself to Windows 7 SP1 via Windows Update. It installed in ~5 minute total including the reboot and the machine is pretty modest on the HW side. I have to say I was pretty surprised given some of the horror stories posted in this thread. I never played with...
It should be the 3rd drive on that cable. Does your cable have numbers? If you haven't scrambled the drives from when you created the array the SW numbers should be correct.
FedEx and friends are very expensive if you don't have an account, but are just a guy off the street walking into Kinkos / FedEx off / UPS Store / etc.
I bet your mother in law could ship the same thing back to you the same way for about 1/3rd the cost though. That's how it was when I did...
When all the media is singing from the same song sheet odds are the song is all wrong. This smacks of the whole DSK thing, Duke Lacrosse "rape" case, & post Hurricane Katrina coverage. Get all the facts wrong, question nothing, look like idiots.
Anyone have any suggestions for a good free or very inexpensive Avira Antivirus alternative?
Avira apparently now thinks it's good practice to repeatedly push you via a misleading popup to install the ASK toolbar when starting up your PC. They're also heavily advertising UniBlue Registry...
I'm a little confused, are you trying to map a drive from a XP system over the network on a Windows 7 system, or do it the other way?
I found Windows 7 has no problems mapping XP administrative shares. XP won't map Windows 7 (or Vista) administrative shares unless you edit the registry of the...
