Lovely... I only have one PC that's internet accessible with RDP, but it was on the default port. The password is definitely not going to be broken with a dictionary attack, but I've changed the port from the default none the less.

I thought a backup sump pump (battery or water pressure powered) was pretty standard fare for people with finished basements? If all else failed at the very least I'd be using my UPS's to power the main sump pump as needed for as long as I could.

Sure it is. You don't understand the magnitude of the deficit vs. the amount of revenue taken in via income taxes and who pays it. The deficit is supposed to be about 1.5 trillion this year. The federal gov't only takes in about 1 trillion in income taxes. ~99% of that comes from the top 50%...

Platform dampers rock. Turn the adjustment on the top of the shock all the way clockwise and it's nearly locked out (it will still give if the impact is strong enough). It has 6 positions that range from plush to near solid.
