The F@H people are geniuses for figuring out how to get other people to supply them hardware. Even totally impractical for home use server grade stuff.

Optical drives. I've got an old PATA 52x CD-RW drive, a HD-DVD/Blu-Ray combo drive, and a DVD burner in my main system now. Frankly, I'd like to stick another drive or two in there like a Blu-Ray burner + 2nd DVD burner.

The Fractal R3 only has 2 5.25" bays. Frankly I'd like 4 (or more), but 3 is a must have.

I undid output my resistor mod tonight so I could give the Aune a fair shake at driving the HifiMan HE-500 Planar Magnetic headphones I borrowed from a friend. The resulting audio quality of the HE-500's and the Aune is just scary good when playing bit perfect FLAC files.

And it's 1/3rd the cost of an Arri Alexa. Canon clearly isn't trying to sell the C300 to consumers but to the professional market where it's a bargain compared to it's peers.

The output from the C300 is supposed to be a step up from the 5D MkII, and it reportedly supports the pro interfaces in terms of connections / workflow that other digital cinema cameras have.

Revisiting an old thread... My Optiarc AD-7260S burns MKM-001 (Verbatim 2.4x DL) the best out of all the bitsetting capable burners I have (NEC ND-3540A, Samsung SH-S203B, & Lite-On iHBS112). Unfortunately it seems to be flaky if it's used a lot sequentially. Perhaps something in the drive...

Well, your loading down the on chip memory controller with more with capacitance and more current draw. Still, I don't think I'll be running out to buy 2x8GB DDR3 sticks to replace the 4x4GB setup. Heck, I'm not even sure if my P67 board supports them.

Dental floss and Goo Gone can accomplish that fairly easily.

I have 16GB (4x4GB) in mine also. I didn't occur to me that the 16GB of RAM might have been limiting the OC.
