    TR's SSD endurance test

That is still very impressive, approximately 3600 full write cycles from TLC. Did your drives die earlier than that?

We need a small platform for height. It needs to be lightweight for air travel.

Well, I prefer something more sophisticated like an engineering resin. The two load bearing surfaces need to be be sticky enough for concrete, steel or aluminum plate, or epoxy.

I need to gain 5 inches. (It's not really for me, but a woman. :) ) I don't what to buy or where, but figure the base should be no more than 10x15" with a good amount of friction on both sides. We need to travel by air and carry it around, so the weight should be low. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Best Hard drive testing program?

Do the drives work or not? If not then return them and file a claim with the CC. If they work, then I'd not worry about it and just use them. Next time buy from a legitimate supplier.

Best Hard drives for size, storage, and reliability?

Yes, but often it is not feasible to get anything from the small-time crooks. Amazon will look into it and purchases have some protections through credit cards as well. However, it's better to buy from reputable sellers unless one has a lot of free time to deal with all the hassles. In the US...

Only buy Amazon products direct from Amazon. There are so many shady characters out there selling used or OEM drives that have no end user warranty.
