    Severe internet trouble

Obviously it was redundant, or the connection would have been completely down. It just appears to me like their backup didn't have the capacity to be transparent.

Merc, Do you have any pics of your cat trying to bite the camera? That has potential. Somewhere around here I have a color copy of my old cat's nose. It was sniffing around the HP multifunction and pressed the "color copy" button. Once the night started to move, it began to sniff then...

    Something Random

I have never before done any kind of charity work or even really believed in any of the purposes they claim to represent. However tonight I was the moment of truth for something I've been working on for several months; a casino night fundraiser for the relay for life. We earned about...

No, I was quite pleased that the girls were in my bed. But then it was time for them to leave If one or two had decided to stay, I would have been very content. However the ones I had in mind were the designated drivers, and the bed simply wasn't big enough for us all to sleep there. I had a...

I'm going to be trying something similar. I'll be modifying the Zalman Heatpipe coolers so that some of the heatpipes go straight vertically through all of the hard drives, with the rest going in different directions so that the drives can be closer together. Then I'll be suspending the entire...

Just "had a few people over". I thought: "OK, thats fine, I have some work to do" It's now 2AM. "Some people" involved nearly a dozen girls and almost 40 beers (pacifico and pilsner urquel). My god...I had an entire girls dorm in my bed at the same time. None that I could have a coversation...

A very unimposing and pretty small case. BQE stands for "Black Quiet Edition". I'll likely replace it with something else (The P180 is first on the list) later on, but until then, this was $60

    Smoothwall Question

"good appliance" I completely agree thaty if such a thing existed there would be a million reasons why it's superior to a smoothie. Yes Time, that looks like it would do it. But I have to admit, I've had nothing but problems with all the appliance routers I've used. They seem to all need a reset every few months or to have their values re-entered to ot have the VPN reset. I'm really sold on the smoothwall way of doing...

It had been laying on it's largest side, but it's smart temp was getting a little high. The options were either to get a fan, connect it, and aim it towards the drive; or increase it's exposed surface area. To be honest the entire system was without case; the MB, PSU, and HDDs all sitting on...

Does anyone actually use roaming profiles?
