    New Tecra (Mercutio probably vomits)

The DVDR and external case seem a bit pricey, let me know how you like it, I also just purchased a notebook and am anxiously awaiting it.

    New Tecra (Mercutio probably vomits)

Why the DVDR? Do you need to burn DVDs all the time with this notebook? I'd say just get somthing with a combo drive and use an external USB/Firewire DVD Burner... That will increase the battery life

    I found a way to get a free 4GB/20GB IPOD MP3 player..

Working on it... $20 iPod if you use the blockbuster "Free" trial. If you cancel within the trial period, it doesn't count as completing the offer, so you can cancel on the 15th day, at which point, blockbuster has already billed you $20 for your first month of service. Still, a $250 value...

I agree with the dust problem, the rack will have air filtration. I was told that some humidity is good for computers, because if there is none, static builds up much more quickly

    Computer Environment

Yeah, I'm not too worried about mice, it'll be in a rack, but the temps do get fairly warm/moist and cold/moist. I thought humidity was a good thing, not bad???

    Gaming off the LAN? Feasibile?

25 Systems running the game at the same time would be impossible imo, but I haven't explored the wide world of SCSI yet. I guess the main problem I see is getting the files to the client machines fast enough. The real question here is "How fast do the files need to be transfered in order for...
