    Bluray software puzzle...

You all have taught me well. Latest firmware, latest, now upgraded to Ultra DVD 9. I've got Media Player classic HT, and VLC for regular DVD's, and, if Ultra won't play them, the others will. Also reinstalled the drivers for the 4670 from HIS website, trying Mercs' drivers only, then adding...

ATI AGP cards tend to use legacy drivers. I have the latest version of the legacy drivers, and, the drivers recommended by HIS. It appears to be a PowerDVD forced upgrade, since moving to PowerDVD 9 Ultra the setup works, and incredibly well. Just feel kind of used after buying the drive and...

    PCI-X SATA 2.0 Raid controller?

I kind of figured that. 8 x 60 equals the tests I saw on review. Looks like that's the limit per channel. So, LSI makes a 4 port PCI-X 133 MHZ 64 bit SAS card. Wonder if that would work? Around 150 dollars...

SSDs - State of the Product?

After lots of playing, it's the 9500S that's the problem. With a single drive, it's max is 63 mb/sec per channel. On the 3112 I'm getting around 124-126 MB/sec writes, and, 133-138 MB/sec reads. Kind of weird, since the slot it's in shouldn't be that fast. The debate now is to try and boot...

Currently the 3 ware card shows up as a 9000 series. I also have the MegaRaid card 320-1 and the Silicon IMmage SIT 3112 Alink controller. The 3112 is highly unlikely to go over 120 mb/sec.

Hi Strange stuff here. On my prior install of XP PRO, I used a HIS 4670 video card. http://www.hisdigital.com/un/product2-448.shtml The drivers support HDMI, and, it will in fact output to the TV's rather cheezy speakers through that HDMI connection. I'm using a HDMI cable to connect the TV...

I've been getting 150 mb/sec for about 3 years now, thanks to two Seagate 15k cheetahs,,IIRC. I found the two drives to be the fastest access wise, and through put wise, perception wise.
