The Samsung printers I have work great until service is needed, trek they are a write-off. The HPs are more expensive and no better until out comes timer for a service. I suppose it depends on whether you mind throwing out whole printers or not.
That is a concern I've thought of. Once the blinds arrive, I suspect we will be using them fairly regularly. I would like the option though.
Screw 'em. It's my world, too. If me watching the street/neighbors makes them uncomfortable, they can get blinds ;) As for me, while I won't be at my...
This really isn't a productivity station. This is where we pass the time. Watching what is going on outside is as significant as whatever is on the monitor.
If we are going to work hard, the blinds are blackout with a white interior, so the "ideal" is available as well.
My wife and I spend most of our waking time at home at our desks. To make the best of this time, I've put the desks in front of the biggest window in the house, allowing the best view.
This brings me to our problem. At night, our current monitors don't get nearly dim enough to be able to enjoy...
Yeah. I don't remember how many before that. I started there not long after SR started, though I don't remember my number, so there were probably quite a few then as well.
I've never done this before, and am looking for any tips.
I've shot several sequences (4-12 frames) that I felt would go well as a series. What would be the recommended technique and output? Does animated GIF support a decent resolution? Would making some kind of video file require additional...
That sounds like an excellent range for this kind of thing. Would that be "the lens" to have? I might be able to get someone else to pay the rental bill...
Shot the same night football all-star game I did last year. Venue was a Jr. College, so the lighting sucks. I intended to use the 100/2, but got to borrow a 300/2.8 for a quarter. Shot the rest of it with the 180/3.5 macro, probably the best choice to be honest.
Is there any reason this kind of technology can't be strictly software? It doesn't look like it needs anything more than a trick driver and some knowledge of the OS.
Erm, no. Not really. Though I will be taking next Tues. morning off to service my car. Of course, I will have a pair of laptops, a pair of phones, and a pair of hotspots, just in case.
My last vacation was my honeymoon 2 years+ ago.
I agree, but my concept of small business keeps being expanded. 200 employees with computers, nearly five hundred total, multi-million dollar contracts, and me as the only "tech guy". I really like it.
Part of my job is doing what needs to be done for my boss. From keeping his businesses working to driving his kids to school to cooking when the catering company blows it. Identify a problem, be the solution. I enjoy my work.
Also even with FC and a SAN, you will need to partition chunks of your array for each computer to boot from. They can't all boot from the same partition.
I get nervous dealing with the really critical machines remotely. I am not the first person there in the morning, and now that we've moved it is a considerable drive to the office, so getting it wrong can be a bad thing.
There are a few files in a folder on our file server that I can't do anything with. I'm logged in as Domain Admin (and local machine admin), and it won't let me even view the security tab of the files. If I try to change the ownership of the entire folder, including it's contents, it gives me an...
