    Core i5 760 : 2.8GHz, LGA1156 - When did they annonce it?

Nevermind, I saw it advertised on the page Handruin linked in the news section about processors to be introduced in 3Q10. I focused so much on the i7 970 that I missed all the others.

    Core i5 760 : 2.8GHz, LGA1156 - When did they annonce it?

I just saw a new processor on my price list a few minutes ago, but I don't remember having read the product launch annoncement anywhere. Like the title says, it's an Intel Core i5 760, identical to the older/current Core i5 750, except for a frequency bump to 2.8GHz. The price is 3$ more than...

Far from it. People were pushing, but I haven't been punched (no one there THAT insane) and I didn't have to punch back. The guy with the broken nose had been hit by an elbow. The farthest I've been was to almost rip off someone's arm, before realizing the arm wasn't to the one who pissed me...

It was everything I expected it to be. Rammstein is great on stage and the crowd was quite agitated. I went there with my younger brother and we teamed up with another big guy to protect his little sister. We were near the stage and that was no place for a 5 feet/100 pounds woman...without a...

I'm leaving to Québec (the city, 2.5 hours from here) for the Rammstein show this evening. Between 80000 and 100000 persons can enter Les Plaines d'Abraham for the show and there was already a lineup yesterday's evening. It's going to be crazy.

I've used the Antec NSK2480, but I prefer the Silverstone GD05. I like the design better. The fans are a little more quiet and with asystem dissipated only 71W, you could get away with using only one case fan. It is more expensive (although not by much) since you have to buy a separated...

It's in line with his configuration. The GeForce 295GTX is very power-hungry. With an i7 920 operating at 3.33GHz, 3x2GB DDR3 RAM and a single Intel 80GB SSD, Anandtech's team posted 189W idle and 460W under load. That's only slightly below Greg's numbers. Add some 10-15W for his additional...

I would not bother with the Radeon HD 5870. Points reward for ATI GPU client is not spectacular. IMO, it is spending a lot of Watts for a so-so folding production. And the stability in games when the client is running isn't all that great. Not worth the trouble.

Oh yeah, there's Santilli too. I don't mind if there's a SCSI drive in your system. And you could run the client in background instead of wasting the CPU cycles between the ATTO runs. That would be a great way to show off how powerful that overclocked i7 really is.
