I mean, you could rsync or robocopy every two hours and probably get pretty close for any normal use case. edit: Also, one of Windows, the FS driver or Amazon Cloud has a problem with long file paths. God. Dammit.

Either way, for people who want to make an issue of information security to be running a 13 year old commercial OS is a bit too off-message, isn't it? Was it too much work to install Ubuntu 14.04 and at least claim to be current on patch levels?

I haven't seen it disconnect yet, if that's what you're asking. It takes a minute for Explorer windows to populate, but having the ability to address the storage outside a web client makes it vastly more useful to me. I managed to get this Dokan (FUSE for Windows) project working well enough to upload at about 10Mbit from what appears on my PC as a mounted drive instead of Amazon's lame-ass software. It's not perfect but Amazon's software is also terrible and I don't want to buy $300 worth of ExpandDrive or...

    Phone Dying

The V20 is a phablet. I regularly carry an 8" tablet in my back pocket, but the LG G4 is just a TINY bit too wide for me to use right handed. My right thumb (not my dominant hand, but still) can't reach all the keys if I hold the phone in portrait mode, so I really see that as a physical limit...

I know about Amazon Freetime, but I suppose I'm looking for something like Windows Group Policies, but that stuff requires G Suite and Apps for Business or Education-type accounts. I can get App Lock-type deals where you can cut off access to specific software and allow other things, but nothing so granular as to allow access to portions but not all of the Settings menu. Once again, you can turn off the acceptable ads. It's one check box. You un-check it. Since everyone using any ad-blocker is probably using two or more subscription lists, this is hardly any greater burden. Here's a funny issue. Not my deal but somebody asked me and I have no goddamned idea. Android has had multi-user mode on devices since KitKat. Not every Android device vendor supports mutli-user, even on Lollipop. Somehow, it's optional and apparently less common on devices with Intel CPUs...

The only ones I've bought this year are UX303s, which are fairly pedestrian i5 / 250GB / FHD systems, rather than the discrete graphics / QHD models. I can usually resell them for a couple hundred bucks over what I pay for them. But I certainly wouldn't expect the Pro models to be any worse.
