    I don't have the manual itself, but I will be looking through their website in a minute. BTW, I just checked the origial CPU (2000+) in another system (A7N8X Deluxe) and it worked fine. Not boding well for the motherboard...I wonder how I could have killed it :(

    I have tried another CPU in that system. It was originally a 2000+, right now it has a 2500+ Barton in there....same issue.

    I also have tried resetting the BIOS to no avail. Right now the only things hooked up are the CPU, RAM (known good), PC Speaker, and the Power Supply. Nothing else is connected at all.

    Yes, the video is seated fine. It also has onboard video, so it happens without an AGP card in it at all as well.

    Thanks, the SME530 looks interesting. I've seen boxes that do e-mail filtering like a firewall. It is attached in series with your normal firewall and filters all the mail stuff I want (passing through the rest). I can't remember the name, and it only did mail, but it sounded very interesting.
