    Budget graphics cards

I used to be nVidia-only, until the 9600Pro showed up. Now I'm running nothing but 9200, 9600, 9800, and x800 cards. No issues, ever.

Why capital punishments is required for cop killers

I picked lettuce for a week when I was in 10th grade for a paper I was writing on this very subject. Besides blowing out my back every day, I nearly cut off my left hand with the knife you need to use. Having the options I have, I wouldn't pick lettuce at any price. However, when I was in...

Why capital punishments is required for cop killers

There was a study done down here in the "Salad bowl of the US" (Salinas, CA) about what would happen to the price of produce if only legal residents were paid at least minimum wage in all aspects of the business. The result? a ~15% increase. This industry utilizes more illegal workers than any...

Why capital punishments is required for cop killers

SF's similar story. It is indeed a tragety. Following JTR's derailment (can't help myself) just a little: Any person who knowingly and willfully commits a premeditated crime that negatively impacts the lives of at least one other person beyond any doubt should be eligible for the death...

    Raptors really worth it?

Wow, sechs' anatomy changed as I switched from reading the thread to previewing it. No matter, it's a pointless flame anyway. I don't have a single bad thing to say about Raptors, I'm a really big fan. They are very fast and quite cheap considering the onboard S-ATA of your K8T-Neo board. My...

    Forum Bridge Building Competition?

All the costs are within the program. It gives you many options, including 3 types of steel and tubular vs. bar supports. It also calculates the cost of different levels of "Site Cost" (excavation, abutments, etc.). It will take any structure that can hold the weight driving from one side to...

I'm trying to fuestimate exactly how much power it would take over how broad a range to smoke that baby monitor. I know it freq. hops, but by how much? Perhaps if you just added a massive amp to your 5Ghz equipment, the monitor would stay off the freq?

After spending about 5 hours on the program, The best I've been able to do using an interesting design is under $179k. I could go cheaper using one of their pre-designed truss structures, but that wouldn't be original. I'll post it in a minute.

I downloaded the West Point Bridge Designer 2004 software earlier and have found it more entertaining than my video games! Once I get a "worthy" design, I'll post it here. It would be interesting to see what the minds of SF could come up with.

Agreed. Though with this tech being so new, I'd hold off before trusting my backups to an unproven technology. Especially considering Santilli's tendency for "tried and true" hardware.

    Something Random

Speaking of good writing....I just finished an incredible novel. It was purchased for me completely by mistake. Photography Advice

I've noticed that turning IS off when shooting from a tripod helps a lot; it seems the lens is looking for movement that isn't there otherwise and actually blurs the shot by attempting to adjust. I'm sure those that have it know, but I didn't read it on the page just linked.

Wow, that place is huge. It appears that the buildings are paired. One AP might make it to each pair, but I'll second blake about wanting a cable to each AP. Trying a directional to each broadcasting AP is possible, but the air around your buildings will be saturated enough without having to...

    Married Student Housing wireless network

It's important to know a few things: 1. What is the connection between you and the campus? T-1 would be nice, but a fractional T-1 is likely and an ISDN is possible. The quality of the connection makes the other costs more justifiable. 2. How many buildings and how far apart? Depending on the...
