Nope There were some annoyances: There was no way to preview the news posting, so I couldn't check if my link tags were good, etc. That is not good. The news system felt obliged to send an E-mail (not a PM) to me just to say thanks for submitting an item. I don't any more junk in my inbox...

What do we all look like

No kidding. I thought Jake was the real first name too. I prefer to be called Steve by folks that I post with regularly. "Groltz" is not any part of my real name, just an impersonal forum handle that I have be using for years now.

    CAS 2 DDR Memory

Clocker, Mushkin has the best CAS2 DDR memory available. It is called "Hi Perf Level 2" Don't be fooled by the "PC2100" rating, I have run mine at 180Mhz with the most aggresive memory timings. 2-2-5-2. It can go over 200Mhz with relaxed memory timings. I am running a pair of the 990892's...

More on the next Plextor SCSI CD-RW

Edward, I have used it several times. Have even obtained some older Verbatim 16X CDR's just for that purpose. DiskT@2 is a cool novelty, but I likely would have bought the drive anyway. Its actual disk burning features are what make it so good. --Steve

A Cort CL1000 with a Joe Barden HB Two-Tone in the neck and a Gibson Tony Iommi Signature HB in the bridge. Compared to the beauties in your collection, it might as well be sitting in the lap of a wino in a trailer park. Sounds good though. I never finished the changes that I originally...

    Opera 7 released

I just finished doing some poking around Opera's support forum. Apparently the problem with trying to get text only on the Main Bar is because Beta 1 does not have that option enabled. This is the only gripe I have about v7...I can't turn the "Main Bar" into text-only. It seems to be a bug. In Preferences>>>Browser Layout>>>Toolbars there is a dropdown menu that should let you select between "Images only" "Text only" "Images and Text below" & "Images and Text on right"...
