    Windows 8

One thing Microsoft might want to worry about, I found it much easier to get around my first mac last year than I did with win 8 which I think is a real problem as I have been with them sense win 95. I seriously do not see businesses deploying win 8.

Huh, google is killing activesync for new signups starting next year, missed that last week. CalDAV, CardDAV and IMAP only now but you keep activesync if you are using it so go add it to something if you think you want it. Got tired of paying for it and decided to trip microsoft up in the...

    Seagate bad RMA service

I used to think the reverse and specifically hunt out the recertified seagate drives because they were better than retail, I think I have three 2TB recertified out of the 13 drives I have and all were perfectly fine.

Random thoughts on it; The faster the processor and the more advanced the process the lower they can lower the clock to get a significant amount of work done and at that clock a much lower voltage than a lower performance cpu need to do the same work, so power savings. The processor on my phone...

Heard about CPU Spy mentioned on a podcast as a way to diagnose an android phone with battery life problems or a buggy OS. It basically tells you about the length of time your CPU stays in a given state. Found out why my battery life on the Note 2 is so good, for a CPU that scales up to 1.6Ghz...

    New even shallower screens!

I don't know about OLED in a computer monitor, they have significant burn in problems now on devices that are off most of the time in addition to a wacky white balance. Maybe the degrading issue will get better like plasma but I think even plasma is still unsuitable for a computer monitor.

Damn. How about backing off until you can't see the pixels? I don't know of any device short of a cell phone that is designed for 15" viewing.

The best argument against one would have been a screen capture of anandtechs site being shown on that display, full screen. They are one of those fixed width sites.

I found this old article about android push http://tokudu.com/2010/how-to-implement-push-notifications-for-android/ I know the iphone also uses SMS for push where available and I think the ipods/ipads must use something else like the persistent connection. I browsed the git comments on K-9...
