Humm...results are not consistant in application tests. I wonder if they will when drivers will mature... For that reason, I don't like add-on ATA cards. Nothing is at fast as the on-board controller...

It also detects viruses that Norton AV does not. Once I had a computer infected with the nimbda (i think...) worm and norton did not detect it. Housecall did, but could not clean it. But at least, we finally knew what was the problem with the computer.

1. The SDRAM slots are placed too close to the edge of the board. 2. The ATA connectors are almost on the bottom of the board. Plus, somehow, they are too close to the AGP slot. So the ATA ribbons are blocked by the graphics card. 3. The power connector is right in front of the power supply...

The fans that came with my 2600 MP are too noisy. The HSF is aluminium (i think). Very good thing if AMD improves the quality of their stock HSF.

It depends on how your server registers IP's. Since the server is on LAN, the ip shown will be the private LAN ip (ex : 192.168.0.xxx) for players in the LAN. Other players will have a regular IP.

Yes I think it will work, if you put the gaming server on the ICS machine. I actually do this with my CS server. It's set up on a windows 2000 server machine with NAT (before, I did with ICS too) and people can join the game from LAN or from the internet.

The guy's arguments are quite good I think, but i can't blame mac for using benchmarks that gives their machine an advantage. Most PC manufacturers play the same game (intel/sysmark?) to make their stuff score better. In my opinion, marketing based on performance of you machines is ridiculous...

Impressive specs indeed and a very nice look. At last, mac may be able to compete with PC's in term of performance. I'd like to see independant benchmarks to evaluate the performance of the newcomer.
