Somewhere in time.
I have zero knowledge/experience in this area. I know MS has a list on their website somewhere. What I'm looking for is real-world experience. How well does WinXP handle 16-bit programs written for W95 and W95 and maybe even W311? Thanks.

Most work, but some don't. XP has an application compatibility wizard that can help in some cases. Some programs run on 2000 that don't run on XP, and vice versa.

Basically, compatability is bizarre.

Some programs that work in Win9x and 2000, won't work on XP, even in compatability mode. Programs that work in 2000, but not Win9x, work in XP only in a Win9x compatability mode.
