I just replaced these with 10k.7s.

Both are 80-pin; I will include adapter upon request. The 74GB drive is warranted through Seagate until Sep. 2009. The 146GB drive is "white-label" recertified. Both drives pass Seatools with no errors.

$150 for 74GB
$180 for 146GB
$310 for both

Prices include shipping in the United States.

E-mail me at sechs@pacbell.net if interested!

It's quieter. That's about all I can say, as I rarely do anything that remotely stresses the drives.

I bought the 10k.7s because I found a good deal and they don't whine. That's all I needed.

I know it's a bit late to ask, but why didn't you go with ATA drives instead? Probably quieter and a lot cheaper for the same amount of storage. As for reliability, most of my ATA drives haven't failed and most of them have survived a lot of abuse.

I don't trust 'em. I have ATA drives for non-critical stuff -- but anything important is on a SCSI drive.

The fact that not quite all of your ATA drives haven't failed isn't really comforting.
