... about my new sig.
General Marie Victor Nicolas de Fay Latour-Maubourg served under Napoleon in many parts of Europe, from Spain to Russia. Rewnowned for his aristocratic manner, his bravery, and his tactical acumen, he lost his leg to a cannon ball at the Battle of Lepzig in 1813 but survived to become a loyal servant of the new regime, and was later made Ambassador to England. He is most famous for something he said to his devoted manservant shortly after the General's leg was shot away.
