I have 8x 4TB and 5x 6TB HGST NAS drives at home, and 36x 4TB Seagate NAS at work. For home I went with the most reliable, at work there is enough redundancy that I went with cheapest.
For the most part I buy cars like computer parts. I wait until I need one, then I buy the best out at that moment. The improvements are (typically) incremental enough that it isn't worth worrying about.
Yup, for Acrobat too. Just went to their corporate model; enabling and assigning licenses to users by e-mail address. Just wish I didn't have to still buy them from a reseller; how hard is it to take a credit card?
I think it's one of those things where if you were really particular you'd already know which one you want. Since that isn't the case, just start with the size of car and amount of money before looking at wirecutter and picking the one that suits you.
The pedestrian safety standards are forcing the bumper and front of the hood up on most cars. The higher beltline (side windows that don't start until your shoulders) certainly feels restrictive, but I don't think it actually effects visibility that much. I know I don't have eyes in my shoulders.
1. Only if you have contacts that you don't actually trust.
2. Only if you have passwords saved on your computer.
I don't see Lunar being effected by either of these.
Better and worse I think. The cars are better by most standards; more reliable, more efficient, more powerful. But not making gains as quickly as the technology we are used to. Still gains.
For me it was the repetitive nature of gameplay. Limited number of maps means that you aren't exploring after a couple days, this is exacerbated by how fast the rounds are. World of Warships has the same issues.
I'm sure that being part of a group with voice comms would make it much more fun. I...
Indeed. The Chrysler hack used the cellular network (I forget which one) that is built into the car, so you don't need to be anywhere near the car to hack it. WiFi hacks would probably be easier.
I can completely see your point time, and we'll see how that GTX 970 Mini works as it is arriving Monday. Worst case we'll machine out the side of the case (I know of a metalshop near him).
I built the system ages ago, but I can't imagine I put in less than a 450W PSU.
Met someone yesterday who is renting a fiber run from a carrier hotel in San Jose and bringing it to an office building 0.7 miles from my house with clear line of sight. I've already committed to 100/100 worth of his Gig. The speed is fine, but the latency of my workstation being 6 hardware...
A long time ago I built a gaming rig for a friend who has since moved away. It is a toaster-sized rig, but I have no idea the spec other than that it is running an ATI 4770. He now needs a new GPU, but I need to send it to him sight-unseen.
What I'm looking for is a 100% compatible upgrade to...
The best storage density is probably these 512GB SD cards anyway. And at 90MB/s they shouldn't slow your workflow.
Of course, a Pelican SD card case full of them (6TB worth) would run $10k.
I don't think a decade is too much to expect from an interior these days. The glass has UV filters and and the cabins are pretty well insulated (less extreme temps).
The worst-case has pretty much already happened. A Model S ran over some metal in the road that managed to penetrate the Kevlar and slash several cells of the battery pack open. The driver immediately got a notification to stop the car and get out. A couple minutes later the car burned to the...
Not for Lunar, but a few others here may feel the need. The need for ludicrous speed.

Good point, Howell. I'd forgotten about the smog stuff. If you're buying outside CA make sure it is CA emissions compliant. I can't imagine too many new cars aren't.
From their position I completely understand the decision. You only want to support one version. Also, how much of their reputation for getting viruses and malware is from people who haven't installed updates?
Assuming you mean when it comes to warranty? So long as the car is serviced at a dealership during the warranty period no one will raise an eyebrow. You can even service the car yourself without voiding the warranty so long as all service items are performed, provided you can show that the...
I've recently gotten hooked on live studio performances on YouTube. Something about watching it happen while a band/artist takes on the challenge of nailing a song in one go is really attractive to me.

The Radio 1 covers are particularly awesome...
The predictions I've read are that the Note series will keep the removable battery and SD card. Personally I'm planning on going to the LG G4, which has both. Merc seems to like it.
I'm suspecting that the TV isn't decoding correctly, probably something to do with framerate.
If you disconnect the speakers does the TV audio sound right?
If you connect the speakers directly to the BR player does it work correctly?
I'm with Lunar on this one, most likely a ground pin. Should be fine. Back in the day you'd just put a bit of paperclip in the socket and hope it conducts through, but I suspect tolerances are a bit higher now.
I'm suggesting giving up the battle for that phrase completely. What else do they sell? We gave up the pursuit of results with the word "flowers" quite a while ago.
Find the related words (or niche products) that cost less on AdWords. You should be able to be first page in something more specific once the location is included. For my clients without much effort at all I've managed to get top billing (worst case top 3).
