Hi I've recently got my server/workstation up and running. However, I have a problem. At work we use nothing but macs. I scan a lot of stuff using an Epson CX5200 onto the hard drives of an imac and a G3 333 mhz. I can burn the scans to CD, but, when I try and transfer to the PC for storage...

The results are weird. I have a single XL 18 that it shows with reads around 100 mb sec. Yet my array, averages about 28 mb/sec, with good burst and access time. REALLY weird. gs

Well, I've been using one drive, a third generation Cheetah, for booting, in the same machine I've used the 4 cheetah raid 0, on the same ATTO UL3D. There is a HUGE speed difference, in loading applications, program speed, and OS snapiness. s
