HD-HTPC, on the road but nowhere near there.

You are right, of course, which was their intention. They aren't selling you a movie, they are selling you a disk with the movie as garbled as possible. That chart looks a lot better when step 1 involves removing the protection...

Changing topic slightly. I find that the things that are far away that I would want to photograph are things that tend to move (birds, cars, people). This lends itself to hand-held shots (as tracking is required). Hand-holding at even 480mm (35mm eq) is near impossible in anything but bright...

Here is an interesting tip. Women don't think of it like that. If they do, it's in a paranoid/weird way. Comparing notes with my wife after we were dating, the first couple months of my maneuverings/tactics were completely undetected by her. From her point of view, we were friends and "just...

Well, at least they have figured out supply and demand. All we can do is curse Intel until they get the supply thing figured out.

SSDs - State of the Product?

That's nothing, the 160GB drive is now at $900. With the 250GB Vertex at $725, there is no valid reason to buy Intel at the moment.

I think you are drawing a line that doesn't exist. A lot of HBO is just soft-core kiddie-porn. Granted, there is a lot of bad porn out there, and because there is so little press/review of the material, you don't know what you are getting. I have seen many porn movies that have better plot...

    MiFi 2200 mini-review.

Biggest issue so far. When they are stacked, the foot of one aligns perfectly with the power-button of the next. Once you go over thirty high, the weight alone is enough to power the bottom one on. With just a pair, attempting to turn on the top one does them both.

We have now found an actual use for those crazy "laptops" made by Alienware and the like. Though I would probably use a decked-out shuttle box for the task instead. Certainly not a task for a netbook, though.
