Kioxia sounds like a lack of oxygen in some metabolic process, but it is actually Toshiba memory. What twits invented that name I have no idea. :(

Thanks for the heads up...

The reason for a lot of these new nonsensical company and/or product names, is that most if not all other common names are already trademarked or are unable to be trademarked for being too common.
Similar with registration of Company/Business names internationally, while you might your preferred name is available in you own country, it might not be available in your other target markets/countries. Also you don't want to pick a name to close to another major company (even if it's in a completely different product market) to avoid any form of association.

Just have fun trying to find names that rhyme with Kioxia...
