I am omnipresent
That Yamaha receiver is probably pretty nice.

What I did when I wound up with spare audio stuff was set up my office at work.

It does sound nice...and tempting. My Yamaha 5.1 DD only has two fiber inputs and I'm needing more. Yours has 4...

I have not had a receiver in about 30 years. I don't know what 80% of that means, yet it is obsolete?

Sort of obsolete if you want to do the latest bluray stuff, but it handles every form of special DVD sound. Best thing about it is the analog 5.1 input, can do anything with that.
