This just saved by bacon. Working at a temp site with some really funky power. I blow a fuse, so they move me to another circuit. Instantly two power strips connected to that circuit catch fire and the 4 LCD monitors connected to it fry their power bricks. This UPS just started beeping and...

Cool. I just noticed that in FAH GPU Tracker V2 you can click on the client name in the main window (SMP, GPU0, GPU1,...) and get all that info (except the bonus points). So combined with the page above, you have a very good idea what is going on.

Any decent AV package will do that for you. NOD32 works with Chrome, FF, Safari, and IE. It only makes sense that MS would lock-in that feature to only their browser.

Intel had some firmware issues on some drives a while ago. It has been a while and the recognized and resolved the issue fairly quickly. Not long ago I built a DB server with a pair of RevoDrive X2 boards in Windows RAID-1 for data and an Intel 80GB SSD for the OS. Works fine, no issues...

Here is a list of generic cheap-os. Here are the Antec ones, which are just a little better IMHO.

Composition question. Here is a downsized chunk of a larger pano (warning, it's still 9999x2042 - the biggest Flickr seems to handle) I'm looking for cropping/composition suggestions. Examples would be great. This is certainly my weakest (of many) point, and I'd love some feedback.

Merc, if I had half a budget, you would already have an offer. At this point, we are just trying to keep the lights on. At the moment we're trying to figure out how to get this work. As an interesting note, take a look at the "alternate route" further down.

Check the motherboard chipsets. Install any different drivers beforehand. At the very least, have the driver for the new NIC saved locally first.

I come to work no matter what, I don't have a backup so there really isn't an option. I do lock myself in my office, and I have a separate entrance to the building, so I'm not endangering others.

Even if this goes to a "7", and we have four a century, it will still be less harmful than coal as an energy source.

Not ad bad as PC Chips in my experience, more like an ABit or Msi (middle of the road) which isn't good enough for server hardware.
