I was going to say that it blows chunks like Sarah after the 4th mojito, but it's not that bad.

I do not understand that last post.

Somebody remind me not to check in on this thread anytime soon just in case someone explains it, I don't think I want to know.

Oh come on, everyone knows Sarah.

Who the hell is Sarah and why is she on her fourth mojito?

The battery life sucks, reflector is funky, beam is ugly and asymmetric, controls are poor, and there is no way to disable accidental power on other than battery removal.

All but one of those you could have determined before buying one. Mine has a symmetric beam. It's a thrower with a smooth reflector. Of course the beam will be a little ugly when combined with that Cree LED. If you loosen the head by a 1/4 turn you can disable accidental power on.

The head unscrews from the body (main tube). The light has a mechanical lockout if you loosen it slightly to open the circuit.

So, is Sarah in the Spanish Inquisition?

No, there was a spell-checker moment. Something corrupted my link, but Newtun's is correct.

I bought a few more lights. It's beginning to become a problem. One of interest is the new version of the XT-1C with the XP-L HI. It is quite bright for the size/weight (weighs only 65g w/battery) although only runs for a half hour on turbo. It is supplied with the 16340 that has the micro USB charging port.

Nitecore TM10K. What were they thinking having 10,000 lumens for a maximum of [b]7 seconds[/bi] before dropping to 400-2000?

That they could still advertise 10,000lm for it.

Yeah, Max Output 10000 Lumens, right near the top. Gotta justify $200 U.S. for a flashlight. But that includes The Manual for a flashlight.

It is $300, not $200. Based on the max cd that beams is really wide too.
A single XHP35 light would be nearly enough for the same brightness after the first 7 seconds, cost a lot less, and have a better beam.

It is rather small and should fit in most women's pockets as well, though it could fit a purse or handbag.
Most of the flashlights look like they were designed by some military or sci-fi dude.
Not that I like Apple, but maybe they could help design flashlights to be more attractive to normal people and especially women.

So the new v2 version has higher lumens in the brightest mode, but the run time must be ridiculously short. V1 only lasts about 30 minutes before it is almost dead.
There is no decent middle output; it needs a 200 lumen mode.
