    Linux apps on a Chromebook

It appears they might have actually made Linux useable on a Chromebook:

Running Linux on a Chromebook is old news, but I don't think that's what you actually meant judging from the topic.

A quick browse through the article, suggests that a debian based userland is now available whilst running in ChromeOS (no dual boot), allowing users to install GNU/Linux applications (via the debian repos) and have those applications run along side your native ChromeOS apps and Android apps.

(TLDR: No longer need to dual boot into a Linux distro to use regular applications).
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

It appears to have similar problems to running any operating system in a virtual box.

So far, I can use an office app to make a document, but, I can only save it in a linux based format, and, can only read it or change it from the Linux app.
Haven't been able to even save the document to Google Drive, which is my general plan when using the Chromebook.
