    An announcement

I know people with big followings on IG, Snapchat or Twitter but posting a random GoFundMe between the thirst traps would cost them thousands of followers.

Here is a thread to talk about gaming

Microsoft's Xbox executive: Sucks to be them, huh? Emudeck is absolutely on my shit list. Seems like every time it updates, I have to update the path to individual emulator binaries on each of my game systems. And then I have to execute titles that use those Emulators in Steam Rom Manager...

FTX was a highly regarded Crypto Exchange once upon a time. I have no idea how to promote a GoFundMe. Social media? Does anyone here use that?

    Up to date Malware Removal

Manifestv2 has been on death's door for about a year as it is. They said summer of 2026 a while ago and time has flown as expected. I transitioned everyone I manage to uBlock Lite instead. It doesn't work as well but that's exactly why it's acceptable to Google and MS in the first place.

You do still have assets and presumably those do have value that exceed your current financial obligations to someone. There's probably an instrument to use those to get back on solid ground. A Crypto IPO probably isn't a ticket to wealth unless you're set up as a pre-offering owner of the...

    Up to date Malware Removal

One of Firefox's primary developers has merged Brave's open source ad blocking engine into the Firefox code base. I don't think it's in current releases and I don't think it will be as thorough as fully functional uBo, but if it's something I can enable by default through ADMX files on systems...

    Something Random

I have a small claims judgment against Samsung over a misdirected RMA shipment, but I can't figure out how to collect on it. I sort of have a dream of visiting an office or a trade booth and just walking off with something petty, like a chair from a waiting room.

Joe, have you examined City resources for addressing your situation? I do see that there are programs in your Borough and City-wide for helping out older persons as well as programs run by Con Ed. I'm not entirely sure what you might qualify for, but surely it is a better option to consider than...

    Something Random

One of the more interesting things I've done with it is to translate code I've already written and in some cases used for years and years and made into some other language. Perl scripts I wrote in the 90s look like line noise but they can become very readable Python, for example. Not so much...

    Something Random

I'm on a 5TB Google One on my persona Gmail, which gives me Gemini Plus. I bought in to somebody's Gemini Pro through G2A. I do see that there's a difference in the reasoning models I can use on one versus the other. One of the things I can see is that I can feel "Pro" vastly larger files and...

    Windows 11

It's fairly tangential to Windows 11 as such, but the newly announced version of MacOS does not support any Intel hardware. If they aren't releasing x86 binaries, that's the end of the road for the Hackintosh community as well, and that's one less choice for the rest of us as well.

Knowing that we're looking at the "new" 5800X3D in about a week and a half, I should point out that the 5900X is around $250 and the 5900XT, a CPU that is only 18 months old, is $280. Both are considerably faster than the 5800X3D if you have any kind of non-gaming workload and fairly negligibly...

    Something Random

I've never, ever, ever had a fraud issue with G2A. If they're ripping off Microsoft or Google or Valve or anyone who makes the mistake of using Valve for distribution, that sounds like other people problems to me.

    Something Random

I paid $12 for 15 months of access to a Gemini Pro plan from G2A on a tertiary Google account I have after seeing how stupid cheap they are on G2A.com. I feel a little dirty about it, but I did want to know what it can do since people keep asking me about it. So far, I had to join a newly made...

    Nvidia 50xx

I don't think we're getting vastly more efficient anything unless there's some staggering breakthrough in materials science. Germanium-based wafers or the like. We're already deep into diminishing returns; 5nm to 4nm didn't move the efficiency needle much for CPUs or GPUs, and I don't think...
