The Pulsox .xt2 (http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/products/enterprise-ssd-hdd/pulsar/pulsar-xt-2) looks very interesting. It uses SLC flash and is rated for 35 PB of writes. :D

That can't be cost effective.

Because it is Seagate?

Did anyone else notice the "shop and compare" button at the bottom with the Walmart logo? Because when I think of Enterprise SLC-based SSDs with an SAS interface, I think of Walmart.

It probably means that those stores sell some Seagate drives, such as externals. I doubt that Walmart sells the high-end SSDs. Aren't they mostly a drug store?

So it's more like a supermarket with other stuff, like some of the larger department stores in other countries. Maybe I was thinking of the Wal-greens. I doubt they would have much in-store selection of SSDs in any event.

I categorize it as a big box store. Other examples are Target (slightly nicer), K-mart, and Costco.

I see. Stores that that are a hassle to find parking, etc. if you work 9-7 daily hours. I tried to visit the Costco two times on the weekends, but was never able to park.
