Yup, but it sounds like a chainsaw.

That is because it uses a chainsaw motor for power.

We need a BIG flyswatter to kill that thing. :)

So instead of having to live with a snowbike or a quad that produces 90dB for 10sec., wildlife will have to sustain a slow-moving mecanical thing that will make 80dB for 20 minutes in the area before it's gone.

This is great.

That's nothing, imagine a Beowolf cluster of these...it will sound like a swarm of bees from hell...

They could always put a muffler on it.

They could always put a muffler on it.

Won't do anything for the smell however. If this smells as bad as the gas tools the local gardeners use I wouldn't want to be anywhere within 100 feet. Cool robot though. Am I the only one thinking it would look and sound like a giant mosquito if you added another pair of legs, wings, and a long probiscus?

Of course. That is why we need a flyswatter.

Such robots will need quieter power supplies for practical field use. The enemy will hear that one from miles away. :)

Awesome. So our tax dollars have created a gas-powered baby deer.

What next? Artificial cattle for natural gas production?

It's not cool until it arms itself and turns against its human masters.
