The last couple lines made me laugh.

Lucas Johnston, the third Florida student, argues the Flying Spaghetti Monsterism exhibits at least some of the traits of a traditional religion -- including, perhaps, that deep human need to feel like there's something bigger than oneself out there.

He recognized the point when his neighbor, a militant atheist who sports a pro-Darwin bumper sticker on her car, tried recently to start her car on a dying battery.

As she turned the key, she murmured under her breath: "Come on Spaghetti Monster!"

I am far more willing to express support for a god who promises stripper factories, approves of piracy and has beer volcanoes than one who promises a halo and a harp, approves of intolerant fundies and allows hunders of car salesmen in robes to swindle the shit out of his followers.

What is meant by a stripper factory — nearly naked people assembly Hondas or something whilst defying OSHA regs?

No, No. A stripper factory is a factory that builds cars for stock (and I don't consider NASCAR stock!) car racing. No seats/door trims/radio,cd, mp3 player/sound proofing/head lining etc.

At least, that's what I though Merc meant...

Yeah. And if you believe that one, I've got a bridge I want to sell you...
:D

A stripper factory is where you take cars after they have been stolen; to be stripped for parts.

er... I suspect that a "stripper factory" would be a place that might have a lot of poles on the assembly line for pole dancing.

Yes. Because everyone who follows the FSM knows its BS, where in Scientology, you are never quite sure who knows its BS and who is fooled.
