This is shameful. How could a big company like Antec, one of the biggest computer case distributor, let its website go down like this? Someone, somewhere, isn't doing the job he's paid for.

It happened to hotmail.com at least once, and one of the apple domains as well. I must admit, it has happened to me (well, my clients) a few times. It's unfortunate and annoying, but hardly shameful.

It's happened to Hotmail.com TWICE. Two years in a row.
The second time it happened, Microsoft gave the guy who renewed it for them a check for $1000, which he sold on Ebay for considerably more (close to $10k) which he then gave to charity.

I think it was 2002. I am pretty sure these Join Dates (http://www.storageforum.net/forum/memberlist.php?&order=ASC&sort=joindate&pp=50) are correct.

SR's MBF happened on December 28 2001 IIRC and you created SF two weeks later. Up to six months ago, I had all the e-mails sent to me while the "twelves" were discussing the future of the community.

Yes, I was talking to Tim Z (Holywood) that evening and when he told me about the disaster I was shocked and saddened. What a dark day that was!

Indeed. I joined not long after, but it was many months before I posted here regularly. I stuck around at SR for quite a while, then realized I wasn't hanging around at any forums, and felt that should change, so I popped in here.
