Blame cas for this one. I saw his neat new avatar and .... well, this is the result.

I'm not sure how many options I can squeeze into a poll format, so I'll just work my way down the member list in post-count order, and combining the multiple personalities so as to save a litte work. (I'm renowned for being lazy.)

My vote is going to go to Bartender/Buck, though there are some other rippers here too which are very hard to ignore.

Vote early and vote often!

Do all those people really have avatars?

Tea

Well, some of them do. I wasn't going to check each one individually.

Err ... Yes Tim.

Operating from memory since I don't normally see most of them...

My Bill Gates' Pie-encrusted face (clearly the best choice, I might add)
Handruin's Matrix homage
Flagreen's dancing something or other
CougTek's Terminator
Buck's Walt Whitman portrait/Wild-west saloon-keep
Clocker's Homer
timwhit's Otto
time's Merlin (that's right, isn't it?)
NRG's logo
P5's Mr. Freeze/Doc Savage bald guy
Tannin's monkey/owl
Pradeep's Taz
Groltz' evil skull thing
Gary's Truck/Water drop/BarCode

The rest of you I can't remember off the back of my hand.

Groltz' evil skull thing

A small clarification: My avatar is the "Crimson Ghost" logo for the punk band "Misfits". It is ugly, no doubt, but doesn't symbolize evil or satanism. I'm not even a big fan of theirs. I did see them live a couple times though.

Er, it's not like I'm accusing anyone of being evil. But nobody ever says "The Glowing Red-Eyed Skull of Hugs and Baby Ducks", either.

Now trying out a new persecution-free avatar. I hope everyone likes it.

What a change Groltz, but the eyes still look evil.

I'm sure it's the next incarnation of Chucky, the killer doll. You don't fool us Steve.

You guys (the Americans anyway) do realize where I culled (http://www.snuggle.com/index.asp) that from, don't you? The root of all evil in advertising...A demonic talking fabric softener bear.

I'm pretty sure that the root of all evil in television advertising is the communist plot that keeps commercials for soaps and shampoos from being the best things on TV.

Think about it.

Hey, think about this: Microsoft spent a BILLION dollars advertising Windows XP. That's "Billion with a B". One followed by nine zeros. Wonder how much it cost to develop?

And demonic bears are the root of evil in advertising?

And along those lines, a quote from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Tara: "...They think he's some kind of "Lord of the Dance". But not the scary one. Just a Demon."

The skull thing probably *IS* less frightening than a grown man with a Snuggle-bear avatar.

Absolutely correct, Mercutio. Plus, I have very little in common with cute teddy bears. I guess I'll start looking for something else as an avatar.
